Waqf Amendment Bill Passed in Lok Sabha; Former Minority Commission VP Mazhar Naim Nawab Extends Support
The Waqf Amendment Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha yesterday and is set to be presented in the Rajya Sabha today. Former Vice Chairman of the Uttarakhand Minority Commission, Mazhar Naim Nawab, has extended full support to the bill.
Speaking to the media, Mazhar Naim Nawab stated that the Congress and its allies are spreading misleading information among the public regarding the Waqf Amendment Bill. He emphasized that the bill aims to ensure the rights of the poor and underprivileged sections of the Muslim community. He further claimed that for the past 70 years, the Congress party has only misled the people of the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been launching several welfare schemes for the upliftment of the Muslim community to bring them into the mainstream. The BJP government has introduced the Waqf Amendment Bill in the House to ensure that poor and backward Muslims receive their rightful entitlements.
