#Raj Bhavan Must Recommend CBI Probe into Fake Encounters
Jan Sangharsh Morcha President and former Vice Chairman of GMVN, Raghunath Singh Negi, while addressing a press conference, alleged that the irresponsible and unconstitutional state government is orchestrating fake encounters by putting police officials under pressure, in a manner reminiscent of the infamous Ranbir encounter case—an act that brings great shame to the state.
Negi claimed that even senior police officers are engaging in such unconstitutional activities to please their superiors. He warned that just like the Ranbir encounter case, justice will eventually catch up with them, and the Morcha is determined to fight this battle to the end. He reminded police personnel that while some senior officers escaped punishment in the Ranbir case due to political clout, they may not be so lucky this time.
He also referred to BJP functionary Vishwas Dabur, who exposed the truth in a viral video, admitting that the government is targeting individuals with criminal cases—even those out on bail—by forcing them out of the state. If they don’t leave, he claimed, the government is shooting them in the legs or having them killed in staged encounters. This, Negi said, is the most damning proof of the lawlessness prevailing in the state.
Negi stated it appears there is no concept of law and order left in Uttarakhand, and that the state is descending into lawless anarchy. He questioned who is behind the government’s nefarious agenda and added that it seems the government no longer considers the judiciary necessary, as it is trying to take the law into its own hands.
He further alleged that in broad daylight, under the government’s protection and nose, laws are being blatantly violated, while institutions like the Raj Bhavan remain silent observers. “It appears the Raj Bhavan exists merely to watch the drama,” he said.
The Morcha has already announced its intent to approach the court on these fake encounter matters and now demands that the Raj Bhavan urgently recommend a CBI investigation into these incidents, paving the way for the removal of the current government.
Present at the press conference were Dilbag Singh, Haji Asad, and Praveen Sharma “Pinni”.
