CM Dhami Attends Program in Dehradun Celebrating 3 Years of Service, Good Governance, and Development
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in a program organized at Survey Stadium, Dehradun on Saturday to mark the completion of three years of the state government’s service, good governance, and development. On this occasion, he also visited the multi-purpose camp set up for addressing public grievances.
Prior to the program, the Chief Minister took part in a grand roadshow from Hathibarkala to Survey Stadium. During the event, he announced that *Devbhoomi Silver Jubilee Parks* would be constructed in the cities of the state to commemorate the completion of 25 years of statehood. On this occasion, he also distributed credit linkage cheques to self-help groups under the Rural Development Department, Mahalakshmi kits to beneficiaries, and agricultural equipment.
The Chief Minister stated that the state government is rapidly working across all sectors for the overall development of the state. A network of roads is being laid from cities to remote villages, while the Rishikesh-Karnaprayag rail line is being completed to fulfill the long-standing dream of rail connectivity in the hills. Additionally, with the launch of helicopter services under the UDAN scheme in nearly 12 cities including Dehradun, Almora, Uttarkashi, Gauchar, and Pithoragarh, the state’s air connectivity has been strengthened.
The Chief Minister mentioned that the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is being completed at a fast pace. Along with this, a plan is also being prepared to construct a four-lane elevated road over the Rispana and Bindal rivers in Dehradun. Projects worth Rs. 1,400 crore are underway in Dehradun. Smart schools are being established in the city, and a state-of-the-art library with a seating capacity of 650 readers has been built at Lansdowne Chowk. On one hand, 30 electric buses are being operated to promote environmental conservation in the city, while on the other, charging stations for private electric vehicles are being built at 11 locations.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi said that the decisions taken by the government in the interest of the public have become exemplary across the country. He shared that over the past three years, numerous public welfare schemes have been implemented with the resolve to reach the person standing at the last mile. To fulfill this resolve, various awareness campaigns have been conducted, and nearly all application processes for the schemes have been made online. Efforts have also been made to ensure that the people of the state can avail the benefits of welfare schemes from the comfort of their homes.
It is worth noting that, in celebration of the government’s three-year anniversary, multi-purpose camps are being organized not only in Dehradun but across the state at district, assembly, and block levels. In these camps, people are being provided with information about various schemes, and processes like application submission and resolution are being completed on the spot.
