Villagers said that for the first time in nearly ten years, a District Magistrate has visited their village

Upon the arrival of the District Magistrate in Laung, the last village of winter settlement located near Tamak Nala, the villagers welcomed him and submitted a memorandum highlighting their various problems. The villagers stated that after almost ten years, a District Magistrate has visited their village for the first time, which brought a sense of special enthusiasm and satisfaction among them.

During the visit, the villagers prominently raised demands for the construction of a safety wall on Tamak Nala, the commencement of bus services from the village, arrangements for the drainage of water accumulating near Tamak Nala and forming a lake, and ensuring the supply of ration up to the village. The villagers informed that at present they have to travel nearly 12 km for transportation and ration, due to which they face many difficulties.

The District Magistrate listened seriously to all the demands of the villagers and assured that necessary action would be taken after examination by the concerned departments.
He said that resolving the problems of residents of remote and border villages is a priority for the administration, and no negligence will be shown in matters related to public interest. The visit of the District Magistrate has instilled new hope among the villagers, and they expressed gratitude towards the administration while expecting an early resolution of their problems.
