Allegations of Scams in Organic Farming and Horticulture

Land Auction Scam Also Echoes Loudly

Vikasnagar: Jan Sangharsh Morcha President and former GMVN Vice-Chairman Raghunath Singh Negi, in a press conference, alleged that Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi has been consistently involved in multiple scams, tarnishing the image of the government and the state. He demanded immediate expulsion of the “highly corrupt” minister from the cabinet.

Negi claimed that the minister initially filed an SLP (Special Leave Petition) in the Hon’ble Supreme Court to shield scam-accused Horticulture Director Mr. Baveja from a CBI investigation. Recently, he said, the script of yet another scam was executed at the Krishi Mitra Fair, and serious allegations of scam also surround the auction of assets and land of Tarai Beej Vikas Nigam. Accusations also include discrepancies in organic farming and horticulture schemes.

Additionally, irregularities are alleged in the construction of the Sainik Dham and in extravagant spending on a foreign tour. Negi further stated that within 5-7 years, the minister has allegedly amassed hundreds of crores in unaccounted wealth in the names of his associates, relatives, and aides—an issue that demands thorough investigation.

Recently, the Hon’ble High Court has issued notices to Minister Ganesh Joshi in several of these matters. Taking cognizance, the government must remove this corrupt minister from the cabinet, Negi insisted. He also questioned how someone who was once struggling financially suddenly came into possession of wealth worth hundreds of crores (undisclosed).

He urged the Raj Bhavan to investigate how many complexes, malls, and apartment buildings in Dehradun and nearby areas are allegedly forcefully acquired in the names of the minister’s associates and relatives. Due to his dark deeds, the state’s image is being seriously tarnished. The noise of his scams is now echoing throughout the state and the country.

The Morcha has demanded that Raj Bhavan take strict action and direct the government to expel this mega-corrupt minister from the cabinet.

Present during the press conference: Morcha General Secretary Akash Panwar and Vijay Ram Sharma.
