Governor Greets Citizens on Mahavir Jayanti, Emphasizes Relevance of Lord Mahavir’s Teachings

Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) has extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti.

In his message, the Governor said that the teachings and philosophy of Lord Mahavir are exemplary for all of humanity. The principles he advocated—non-violence, truth, renunciation, compassion, and welfare of all beings—remain highly relevant even today.
