Vikasnagar – Under the leadership of Morcha President and former GMVN Vice President Raghunath Singh Negi, workers of Jan Sangharsh Morcha staged a protest and gherao at the Vikasnagar Tehsil, demanding the dismissal of the mega scamster and highly corrupt Minister Shri Ganesh Joshi from the state cabinet. A memorandum addressed to the Hon’ble Governor was handed over to Naib Tehsildar Mr. Aswal in the presence of Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Vikasnagar.

Negi stated that the continuous involvement of Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi in various scams is severely tarnishing the image of both the government and the state. Such a highly corrupt minister should be immediately expelled from the cabinet.

He further alleged that Minister Joshi had initially protected scam-tainted Horticulture Director Mr. Baveja by filing an SLP in the Hon’ble Supreme Court to shield him from a CBI probe. Recently, he was also involved in a scam related to the “Krishi Mitra Mela” and is accused of corruption in the auctioning of assets and land of the Terai Seed Development Corporation. The Hon’ble Court has even sought consent from the government to file a case against him in a disproportionate assets case, but instead, the administration granted him immunity. He is also accused of irregularities in organic farming, horticulture, the construction of the under-construction Sainya Dham, and of wasting lakhs of rupees on foreign tours.

Negi claimed that within 5–7 years, this ultra-corrupt minister has amassed undeclared assets worth hundreds of crores under the names of his aides, family members, and relatives – a matter that urgently requires investigation. The Hon’ble High Court has recently issued a notice to Minister Ganesh Joshi regarding these irregularities. Taking note of this, the government should immediately remove him from the cabinet. An investigation should also be conducted into how a person who was struggling financially 15–20 years ago has suddenly become the owner of hundreds of crores worth of undeclared property.

Raj Bhavan should investigate how many complexes, malls, apartments, and buildings in Dehradun and surrounding areas have been acquired in the names of his family and cronies through intimidation. The black deeds of this corrupt minister are tarnishing the state’s image, and the echoes of his scams are being heard across the country.

The Morcha demands that Raj Bhavan take cognizance of this corrupt minister’s illegal dealings and direct the government to dismiss him from the cabinet and conduct a probe into the hundreds of crores of undeclared wealth he has amassed.

Participants in the Protest/Gherao: Morcha General Secretary Akash Panwar, Vijay Ram Sharma, Dilbag Singh, Mahipal Singh Rawat, Ram Singh Tomar, Haji Asad, Anil Arya, Saroj Gandhi, Mohammad Islam, Parveen, Narendra Tomar, Maan Chandra Rana, Virendra Singh, Yunus, Jaykrit Negi, Billu Gilbert, Vikram Pal, Kunwar Singh Negi, Mukesh Paspola, Sushil Bhardwaj, Vinay Gupta, Bheem Singh Bisht, Arvind Sahni, Deepanshu Agarwal, Ankur Verma, Nisha Khatun, Gafoor, Deepak Agarwal, Nahid Khan, Mohammad Shafi, Shafiq Pandey, Naresh Thakur, Naseem, Sayra Bano, Mehndi Hasan, Vinod Jain, Bhagat Singh, Saleem Mirza, Zeeshan, Manish Negi, Akhtar, Samoon, Ashish Khadka, Imran, Shahnaz, Ankur Chaurasia, Rais, Saleem Mirza, Jabir Hasan, Manish Bhatnagar, Bhura, Christina, Sunil Kumar and others were present.
