Court shown its displeasure on the instructions so received in the present matter and the Hon’ble Court has been pleased to imposed a cost of Rs. 5 Lacs upon the Excise Commissioner, Government of Uttarakhand and directed the same to be deposited within a period of one week w.e.f. 05.04.2024 before this Hon’ble Court, which will be subject to the decision of the writ petitions. The Hon’ble Court has also granted one week time to file counter affidavit in the present matter and posted the matter for next hearing on 15.04.2025, The copy of the order has not yet been uploaded on the website of the Hon’ble Court, the office will send the same as soon as it will be uploaded in the website of the Hon’ble Court.
Kindly take note of the above and ensure to comply with the Hon’ble Court’s direction dated 05.04.2025 accordingly and also ensure to file the counter affidavit within one week w.e.f. 05.04.2025 alongwith the receipt of the deposit of the cost as imposed by the Hon’ble Court, failing which if any adverse order is passed by the Hon’ble Court, the office of the learned Chief Standing Counsel will not be responsible for the same.
