A Good Initiative by HRDA: “Play to Rise” Scholarship Program Launched in Haridwar, Free Coaching Opportunity for Economically Weaker Children
The *“Play to Rise”* scholarship program has been launched by the Haridwar Sports Complex and the Haridwar-Roorkee Development Authority (HRDA) for children from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS). Under this scheme, children will receive free coaching for one year in football, cricket, and badminton.

*HRDA Vice Chairman IAS Anshul Singh stated that as per the directions of *Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami*, the basic infrastructure has been strengthened to promote sports activities. In line with this, the *Play to Rise* program has been launched to train talented young athletes from economically weaker backgrounds. The objective of this initiative is to bring forth hidden talents in sports and provide them with better training opportunities, so that financial hardship does not become a barrier in the path of their dreams. Through the *Play to Rise* program, efforts are being made to promote sports talent in Haridwar.
