On Wednesday, a delegation from Larsen & Toubro (L&T) paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami in New Delhi. On this occasion, the delegation presented a financial assistance of ₹5 crore (five crore rupees) to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support aid, relief, and rehabilitation efforts for the people affected by the recent natural disasters in the state.

Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his gratitude to the representatives of L&T for this commendable contribution and said that this support from the corporate sector during a time of crisis will prove to be a great help for the state government. He added that the state government is continuously giving top priority to relief, rehabilitation, and reconstruction works in disaster-affected areas. The participation of the private sector will further accelerate these efforts and ensure that affected people receive timely relief.

The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is a disaster-sensitive state, where natural calamities occur from time to time due to geographical conditions. The state government has taken several concrete steps to strengthen disaster management and make the relief mechanism more effective.

Senior officials from the L&T group were present on this occasion.
