Haldwani Mayor and Commissioner Honor Sanitation Workers’ Daughters with Kanya Pujan at Municipal Corporation

On the auspicious occasion of Navratri, Haldwani Municipal Corporation took a commendable initiative. In the corporation premises, Mayor Gajraj Bisht and Municipal Commissioner Richa Singh performed the traditional *Kanya Pujan* of daughters of sanitation workers employed with the corporation and offered them meals.

All officials and employees of the Municipal Corporation were present at the event. Through this celebration, a strong message of social harmony and equality was conveyed by honoring the families of sanitation workers.

Mayor Gajraj Bisht said, “Navratri is a festival of worshipping the divine feminine, and the daughters of sanitation workers are our daughters too. It is our duty to honor them.”

Municipal Commissioner Richa Singh called this initiative part of the corporation’s social responsibility and expressed plans to organize more such events in the future.

On this occasion, the girls were also given gifts and *prasad*. This initiative by the Municipal Corporation has been widely appreciated by the citizens of Haldwani.
