Jan Sangharsh Morcha President and former GMVN Vice Chairman Raghunath Singh Negi, while addressing a press conference, said that the Dhami government has set a record by granting service extensions to tainted and corrupt officials. According to him, the government is collecting hefty sums from these officers and arbitrarily granting them extensions, while honest and diligent officials are being completely ignored. He alleged that the government is favoring only corrupt and money-making officers.
Negi added that while there may be one or two exceptions in cases of service extension, the overall situation is alarming. He stated that even in the matter of small-scale transfers and postings, government interference is rampant, and all actions are being carried out on the basis of internal ‘setting-getting’ deals. He claimed that the government has even deployed agents for every task.
The people of the state have now started to say that they have never seen such a corrupt government before – and hope never to see one again.
Negi also pointed out that many BJP leaders are silently frustrated as even their minor works are not being addressed, and they have no one to turn to.
