Let us tell you that the Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand will officially commence on April 30, with the opening of the portals of Gangotri and Yamunotri shrines. While all departments are actively engaged in preparations for the Yatra, devotees are also enthusiastically booking guest houses operated by the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN).

Providing details, GMVN Managing Director Vishal Mishra informed that bookings worth over Rs 4 crore have already been made, and this figure is expected to rise further. In preparation for the Yatra, GMVN staff have been directed to complete repair work on all guest houses along the Yatra route before the Yatra begins. A special team has also been formed for this purpose.

He further mentioned that this year, devotees arriving from outside will also get to experience traditional cuisine of Uttarakhand. Along with modern food, cooks specializing in traditional dishes will also be appointed to serve these delicacies.
