Former Chief Minister and Present Haridwar MP Trivendra Singh Rawat have exposed corruption of Pushkar Singh Dhami : Raghunath Singh Negi
Jansangharsh Morcha: Trivendra Singh Rawat’s Statement is 100% Accurate
MP Trivendra’s Statement on Illegal Mining is 100% True: Morcha
Mafias have dug up the rivers in the state
With the government’s collusion, blatant looting is happening in the state
For the first time in the state’s history, JCBs and Pokelain machines operated in rivers during the day
Thousands of crores in revenue lost every year
Vikasnagar: Jansangharsh Morcha President and former GMVN Vice Chairman Raghunath Singh Negi, while addressing the media, said that the recent bold stand taken by former Chief Minister and current MP Trivendra Singh Rawat in Parliament against illegal mining in the state is commendable. The Morcha salutes his courage.
Negi stated that the MP’s remarks did not sit well with the government, which, in response, hastily directed the Mining Secretary to issue a statement or counter the claims. The Secretary declared, *”There is no illegal mining happening anywhere in the state.”*
Negi countered strongly, saying, “The entire population of the state knows exactly what is going on. People across the state are criticizing the government, but this deaf government refuses to listen.”
He described the Secretary’s statement as “ridiculous and far from the truth.” According to Negi, illegal mining operations are active throughout the night across the state, robbing citizens of their sleep. However, the government has put such immense pressure on officials that they dare not even glance in the direction of illegal mining. “There are honest officers who wish to take action,” he said, “but their hands are tied.”
Negi called it a matter of great shame that even after the High Court has repeatedly reprimanded the government over illegal mining and the use of JCBs and Pokelain machines in rivers during daylight, there has been no remorse or action from the government or its officials.
He also dismissed the Secretary’s claim that ₹1,025 crore in revenue was generated from mining in 2024–25. “The ground reality,” Negi said, “is that the state is losing several thousand crores in revenue every month due to illegal mining.”
He further criticized the government for using a bureaucrat to make such an irresponsible statement. “Couldn’t the government find a single party leader to speak in its defense that it had to push the Secretary forward?” he questioned.
Negi emphasized that the Jansangharsh Morcha has been consistently vocal about illegal mining for years, while “everyone else is busy playing eco-friendly matches.”
The Morcha, advising the government, said that *”if even a little bit of shame remains, it should take cognizance of Hon’ble Trivendra Rawat Ji’s statement and crack down on the illegal mining happening across the state.”*
Present at the press conference were Morcha General Secretary Akash Panwar and Vijay Ram Sharma.
