Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh Attends State Foundation Day Program at Raj Bhavan

Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh participated in a program organized at the Raj Bhavan on the occasion of Rajasthan State Foundation Day under the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.”

 

The Governor extended greetings on behalf of the entire state to the citizens of Rajasthan on their Foundation Day. On this occasion, Rajasthani students residing in Uttarakhand presented captivating glimpses of the state’s rich heritage, folk culture, and arts through cultural performances.

 

The Governor said that the formation of this glorious state took place on March 30, 1949. Today, Rajasthan is renowned across the country for its bravery, art, music, folk culture, and journey of development. Culturally and historically, Rajasthan holds a significant place in India. Along with its rich heritage, Rajasthan is also globally known as a major tourist destination. He added that many brave warriors were born on the soil of Rajasthan, including names like Maharana Pratap, Prithviraj Chauhan, and Veer Durgadas Rathore. Its forts and palaces are symbols of golden chapters of history.

 

The Governor also mentioned that a unique initiative has been launched in every Raj Bhavan to celebrate the foundation days of all states, to foster unity among people from different states and promote cultural integration. This initiative will strengthen inter-state relations. On this occasion, Additional Secretary to the Governor, Mrs. Swati S. Bhadauria, and Finance Controller Dr. Tripti Srivastava were also present.
