Unregistered Medicare Hospital Performs Surgeries, Endangering Patients’ Lives in Bhagwanpur
In the Bhagwanpur police station area of Roorkee, illegal hospitals are thriving openly, while the Health Department remains completely silent. Notably, a hospital named “Medicare Hospital,” located at Gagalhedi Chowk in Bhagwanpur, is reportedly operating without any registration from the Health Department and without any qualified doctors.
Several concerning incidents have already been reported from this hospital, where patient safety is being blatantly disregarded. According to sources, the hospital operator, Savej Malik, does not possess any medical degree or formal knowledge related to the medical field, yet he continues to risk patients’ lives for financial gain.
There are reportedly dozens of such fake hospitals running in Bhagwanpur and surrounding areas, and the negligence of the Health Department is putting patients’ lives at serious risk. Sources further claim that unqualified and unlicensed “jhola chhaap” (quack) doctors are even performing surgeries in this facility.
In a recent case, a patient underwent abdominal surgery to remove a kidney stone at this hospital. The major question arises — if the hospital is operating without the Health Department’s permission, then who conducted the surgery?
When questioned, Health Department officials stated that they have taken note of the matter, and a thorough investigation is underway. Strict action will be taken accordingly.
