Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat wrote on his social media that he made a mistake in doing politics. If he had declared an “aerial capital” in the same way as the BJP, then the BJP trailers would not be remembering things like Friday prayers, Muslim university, or Chhath holiday.
In response, BJP media in-charge Manveer Chauhan took a jibe at Harish Rawat’s statement and said that during Harish Rawat’s government, he was neck-deep in corruption—whether it was in mining or excise, corruption was found to be widespread in every sector. The Bharatiya Janata Party has never talked about a Muslim university or leave for Friday prayers. It is always Harish Rawat and the Congress party who bring attention to such topics.
