With the onset of summer, incidents of forest fires have started rising in Almora district. Due to the fires, dense smoke has enveloped the town and surrounding areas, reducing visibility in the hills to almost zero.
This haze is also affecting daily life. Considering the massive loss of life and property caused by forest fires last year, the administration has become alert. Along with the forest department, police and administrative teams are working to control the fires. SSP Devendra Pincha has directed all police stations, outposts, and fire stations to remain on alert. He has instructed immediate action upon receiving any information about forest fires.
