Those encroaching on roads and footpaths in Dehradun are in for trouble…
The Dehradun Municipal Corporation will soon take action against vendors setting up stalls on footpaths. The city will be divided into five zones, and enforcement teams will take action in each of these areas. Action will also be taken against people setting up stalls at city intersections. The presence of carts and stalls on roads increases the risk of accidents. Municipal Commissioner Namami Bansal stated that cameras will be installed in various wards of Dehradun. Enforcement teams will be deployed to remove encroachments.
