Time to End Mountains-Plains Controversy: Khajan Das  

During the budget session at the Dehradun Assembly, a comment made by Premchand Agrawal sparked a major political controversy in Uttarakhand over the “mountains vs plains” issue.

Due to pressure from political parties and the public, Minister Premchand Agrawal first issued an apology. However, when the matter still didn’t settle down, he resigned from his post. Rajpur MLA Khajan Das stated that we are all children of Bharat Mata (Mother India), and we should never hurt anyone’s sentiments. He further said that since Premchand Agrawal has resigned, politics over the issue should now come to an end.
