On 27th March, Congress state spokesperson and advocate Pankaj Singh chhetri submitted a complaint, along with an affidavit, to the Superintendent of Police at the Vigilance Establishment, regarding Cabinet Minister Shri Ganesh Joshi. The complaint alleges that the minister acquired movable and immovable assets exceeding his known lawful sources of income, indicating corruption.

Previously, an RTI activist had also filed a complaint against Minister Ganesh Joshi with the Vigilance Department, which was dismissed by the Hon’ble Court due to the absence of an affidavit. Learning from that, Congress spokesperson and advocate Pankaj Singh Kshetri has now submitted the complaint with an affidavit, including copies of all immovable property documents and details of movable and immovable assets declared by Ganesh Joshi in his nomination papers. The documents were handed over to the Superintendent of Police, Vigilance Establishment, Dehradun.

On this occasion, Pankaj Singh Kshetri stated that Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi and his family have amassed immense wealth, the details and sources of which should be made public. As a Cabinet Minister, it is inappropriate for him to face such serious allegations of corruption, and it raises suspicions that the government has not yet allowed an investigation against him. Despite this, he continues to hold office, whereas he should have resigned on moral grounds.

He also mentioned that Minister Ganesh Joshi had dishonored the sacrifice of former Prime Ministers, the late Mrs. Indira Gandhi and the late Shri Rajiv Gandhi—an insult that Congress workers and every citizen of the country will never forget. He further said that a copy of the complaint submitted to the Vigilance Superintendent will be sent to the Hon’ble President of India, the Hon’ble Prime Minister, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, and the BJP National President, bringing this serious issue to the attention of national leadership.

On this occasion, All India Congress Committee (AICC) National Spokesperson Mrs. Sujata Paul was also present. She said that the Congress Party will raise this grave issue on the national platform and expose the reality of BJP’s conduct and character. Congress leader Madhusudan Sundriyal stated that the party will reach out to the public regarding the corruption of Minister Ganesh Joshi and expose the falsity of BJP’s claims of integrity.
